Course Description
NMTC Stage 2—24-Hour Power Prep is an intensive and highly focused crash course designed to give qualified students the final push they need to crack Stage 2 of the National Mathematics Talent Contest (NMTC), targeted for Bhaskara (Class 9-10) & Ramanujan (Class 11-12).
Over 24 hours of expert-led sessions, students will revisit core concepts, tackle challenging problems, sharpen their problem-solving strategies, and gain insights into the unique style of NMTC questions.
You’ll learn core topics Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory and Combinatorics, sharpen your problem-solving skills, and practice with NMTC-style questions to master the subjective exam format.

Prerequisites
Basic understanding of Theory of Equations, Elementary Euclidean Geometry and Combinatorics, Elementary Number Theory, Polynomials and Elementary Inequalities.

Algebra: Quadratic and Higher degree Algebraic equations, Remainder theorem, Logarithms, Sequences and series, Scales of notations, Mathematical Induction, Basic inequalities. Polynomials, inequalities, (C-S inequality), Functional equations
Geometry: Circle theorems, Chords, Arcs, Angles in segments, Cyclic Quadrilaterals, Tangents, Alternate Segment theorem, intersecting chord theorem, Apollonius theorem, and Stewart’s theorem, Complex number methods may be used
Number Theory: Modular arithmetic, Greatest Integer function, least integer functions. Fermat and Wilson theorem, Diophantine equations
Combinatorics: Fundamental principle of counting, Basics of permutations and combinations, Principle of inclusion and exclusion, Pigeon-hole principle, Counting techniques, Recurrence relations
